I am often asked what I eat for breakfast.
Like most of you, I am very busy and tend to be moving fairly quickly in the morning to get my day started. When I don’t have time to sit and eat a “real” breakfast (which, as most of you know if you have been to any of my lectures, contain no grain products at all) I make my Perfect Power Breakfast Shake.
Why did I call it the Perfect Power shake?
Because that’s how it makes me feel! I feel like my blood sugar is steady until lunch time, my mind is clear and sharp, my body feels light and mobile, and I have a ton of energy. I’m in my power! When I’m in my power, you get me at my best. You deserve nothing less.
Try it out and see how you feel after a week of starting your day with my Perfect Power Shake.
Ingredients: The amounts are based upon my body size and activity level. You may have to experiment and find the right ration for your body and lifestyle, as well as your personal taste. - 1 ½ Cup Raw, Organic Cream
- ½ Cup Raw, Organic Goat Yogurt
- ½ Cup Raw, Organic Apple Juice
- 1 Scoop SP Complete Powder (By Standard Process)
- 1 Scoop Quest Whey Protein Powder (Chocolate or Vanilla)
- 1 Tblspn Mt. Capra Mineral Goat Whey Powder
- 1 Tblspn Pure Synergy Superfood Mix (Go to: www.DrRons.com)
- 1 Tblspn Organic Coconut Oil
- 1/8 Tspn Organic Real Vanilla
- 1/8 Tspn Celtic Sea Salt (or a little less)
- Add Water to desired consistency
In addition to the shake, I also take a tablespoon (or two) of Cod Liver Oil. I also usually drink a mug of green tea sometime during the morning.
You have probably noticed that I use only raw cream and yogurt…that means it’s not pasteurized. For more information about the rationale behind this, go to www.westonaprice.org. You can also get the book, The Raw Truth by Dr. Douglass from www.rhinopublish.com. If you can’t get raw dairy use water and apple juice. (I, personally would not touch the dead food we call “dairy”, these days.)
This shake contains really good fats, proteins, complex carbs, whole food vitamins, and minerals. It’s designed to give the body the fuel it needs for Maximum Power and Performance.
